1.2 Biography Records, 1926 - 2002

The Biography Records subseries includes limited materials outlining Bethune's life activities. A miscellaneous folder houses several revised versions of Bethune's own biographical notes and outlines, often in the form of application entries for biography publications or awards. These records give insight into what she considered most important of her accomplishments, information about Bethune's name variations and nicknames from her early life, and presentations she gave in the 1990's.The most complete record is a chronology she co-wrote, which can be found in the Ade Bethune Collection website entry "About Ade Bethune." An unusual record in this subseries is a box of address cards from Bethune's files, some with editorial or informational notes. Two early records are the highlights of this subseries: a 1927-28 report card with notes about Ade from her Brussels school days, and a self-created artistic chart of her daily high school routine from 1929.
