About the Master's of Organizational Leadership Program
The department started as Masters of Arts: Organizational Leadership in 1985 as a graduate program. It started as an interdisciplinary program with major concentration into areas of leadership, later becoming a multidisciplinary program with different concentrations added over the years. It evolved to Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership in 1991. In 1992 the department offered a minor in MAOL which ended in 1998. Then in 1995 the program added an accounting concentration to the program. In 1996 the program began to additionally offer certificates in this field. The program started an articulation program in 2001 for weekend college seniors and a dual degree program with Hamline University School of Law was introduced in 2003, allowing students to get their JD and MAOL simultaneously.
