This collection contains a large variety of records related to the Occupational Therapy Department. There is information about the department history and first chairwoman, Sister Jeanne Marie Bonnett, along with correspondence. There is also detailed information about the accreditation processes in 1970, 1976, 1981, 1983, 1987, 2000 and 2005. The collection also contains brochures, anniversary records, and information about courses.

Biographical / Historical
The Department of Occupational Therapy was founded in 1944, offering undergraduate degrees in Occupational Therapy with the first graudate in 1946. The department was founded by Sister Jeanne Marie Bonnett. The department was created to help with the war effort during World War II. In 1991 a Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy program was created, causing the undergraduate department to shift to the title of Department of Occupational Science/Pre-Occupational Therapy, with pre-occupational therapy courses being offered. Since 2007 the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy has covered both graduate and undergraduate programs.
