About the Psychology Department
Psychology was initially combined with Education from 1916-1944, before becoming part of the combined division of Philosophy, Psychology, and Religion. It remained there until 1958, when it became its own department under The Division of Social Science. The department has remained closely linked with multiple departments over the years such as Education, Social Work, Theology, and the Natural Sciences.
