About the German Department
The department was established in 1916 and offered courses in elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. There was also a course in executive German specifically built for business students, economists and translators. The German Department had many programs to help students be more familiar with the language and culture whether through native assistants, classes or social experiences. The department was eliminated in 1984 as few students graduated with German majors but partnerships with ACTC schools made it possible for students to still learn German.
