This collection includes 78 RPM records and 33-1/3 RPM LP records. A few of the recordings are of live radio broadcasts. They feature students, faculty, and alumni of St. Kate's. Most of the recordings originated in the Music Department, but the Education, English, and French departments are also represented. The discs are 12" unless otherwise noted in the inventory.

According to "Liturgical Record" in the Spring 1965 issue of SCAN: "A record of liturgical music sung by the College choral groups went on sale Monday, April 12. The recording, entitled 'Sing Praise, A New Song to Our God' includes the high Mass in English composed by Sister Mary Davida, chairman of the music department, and Mass propers composed by Sister Lucina, and liturgical music for the Church year. The music is arranged for congregation and choir. The high Mass in English was sung in about 15 parishes throughout the United States at Easter. Sheet music for the Mass will be published by the Schmitt Music Company, Minneapolis, in the summer. Recorded by the Mastertone Recording Studio 'Sing Praise, A ew Song to Our God' is available at The College of St. Catherine.
