This rather small series includes materials about and made by the Faculty Dispute Resolution and Grievance Committee and the Faculty Mediation Committee. For the Faculty Mediation Committee this largely includes faculty lists and a few reports concerning faculty salaries, and does not include minutes. The Faculty Dispute Resolution and Grievance Committee's materials do include some meeting minutes, as well as part of a blog about faculty salaries. Materials currently date from 1998 to 2010, and this will expand as we receive more recent materials.

Biographical / Historical

The Dispute Resolution and Grievance Committee implements, reviews, and updates grievance procedures. Its history starts with the Faculty Mediation Committee, that from 1987 to 2013 tried to solve minor grievances between faculty members, asking the Educational Policies Committee to set up a temporary Special Hearing Committee if the grievance was of extreme importance. The job of the Special Hearing Committees was combined with a more formal definition of the Faculty Mediation Committee to create the Dispute Resolution and Grievance Committee in 2001.
