This collection includes material by and about the University Faculty Council. Of its current and previous subcommittees the Academic Community Development Committee, Faculty Development Committee, Academic Resources Committee, and Allocation and Compensation Advisory Committee all have minutes and related materials in the collection. Though the Faculty Development Committee contains ealier material, the majority of the collection contains documents dating from 2000 to 2015.

Biographical / Historical

The University Faculty Council is the main elected faculty body. It oversees other committees, and presents faculty hearings and recommendations for large changes in curriculum, majors, and policies that faculty vote on, among its other duties. It currently has three subcommittees: Academic Professional Development, Academic Resources, and Allocation and Compensation. Named the Faculty Council before 2012, its first minutes date from 2001 and it is not mentioned in earlier faculty constitutions, but its subcommittees continued earlier work, such as its Academic Professional Development subcommittee doing work similar to that of the Academic Community Development Committee.

This collection includes materials made by and about St. Catherine University's University Faculty Council (UFAC), most of the material lying under its other name, the Faculty Council.
